Poacher's Pootle Tour September 4th - 11th 2010

For the fifth consecutive year, three of the founder members of the Pre-War Minor Network took their cars (and wives) away for a late summer sojourn. The venue chosen for 2010 was a holiday home in the small village of South Cockerington, which is located on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, just a few short miles from the North Sea coast. An eventful trip ensued, details of which can be found in the 'Tour Report' which is available through the Blue Button link below.

East Anglian Pre-Amble May 8th, 9th 10th 2010...

Member Brian Maeers owns four pre-war Minors. He also has a home on the North Norfolk coast at Holme-next-the-sea and invited the PWMN editor and Trevor Wilkinson (together with wives) for a small Minor 'fest' over a spring 2010 weekend. The weekend weather did its best to dampen spirits but more than180 miles were covered during the course of the three days, all without major incident. On Saturday 9th May temperatures remained in single figures while on Sunday cars and crews were treated to wall to wall spring sunshine. Britain's weather at its craziest. Thanks to Brian and Heidi for a great weekend.

Dutch Rally September 2009...

The first Dutch VMR rally was held over the weekend of 11th - 13th September 2009 and was hosted by Halbe and Monique Tjepkema. The weekend was a great success and provided an opportunity for the small travelling band of Minorists to see a beautiful part of western Holland around the lakes, rivers and canals adjacent to the town of Leidon. The rally took in a trip to Delft, a working windmill in Benthuisen and a visit to a church, where on the hour a full verse of the Presley classic 'Wooden Heart' was peeled out by the chimes on the church clock!!
