Randall and Montgomery's race car from the May 1930 Brooklands JCC Double Twelve race. This car finished 14th overall and was the first of five such cars entered privately but with the full support of the M.G. factory. (Profile Publications)

Harold Connolly will always be associated with the M.G. marque. Here is one of the many 'M' Type representations he created between 1929 and 1932, seen on the left as a sketch followed by B&W and finally coloured artwork.

Autocar artist F.Gordon-Crosby drew the image above while visiting the M.G. Factory at Abingdon in 1931. Next to the 18/80 undergoing braking tests, a Midget can be seen on the weighbridge. The left hand cartoon image was also drawn by the same artist, further illustrating his diverse talents.
