For many, a Sunday ritual involves taking the hose and a sponge to the family car parked on the drive and washing it down in readiness for the week ahead’s commuting duties. Paul Compton does things differently. His weekdays are spent meticulously preparing his Wolseley Hornet Aerees Special for the upcoming weekend’s competitive action, which involves (in this case) haring around a soggy field and covering his Hornet with a thick coating of mud.
