1934 WASA Trial
This photograph was taken on a cold March day in 1934 above a sunken lane in the Chiltern Hills, Buckinghamshire. The occasion was that year’s running of the WASA Trial, an all women affair. The queuing London registered 1933 Minor Two-seater is JJ 9444 which is located immediately ahead of the Morgan Super Sport, all the cars in view awaiting their turn to start the next observed section. The archive contains another shot of JJ 9444 being pushed up a steep gradient at this same event, although it’s very apparent that the person in the driving seat is a male.
