ND 2464 is a 1934 Morris Minor Two-seater seen here newly arrived in Natal, South Africa. Its owner, seated behind the wheel, is 24 year old noted cricketer William Bell Gadsden. Notes on William’s career in South Africa are recorded by Wisden. This was William’s first car according to his family archive. South Africa was an important export market for Morris Motors and at least three Minors are known to survive there. Bill died in 1995 aged 84.
