In the early thirties, colourising black & white photographs was not an unusual practice. This example of an unidentified 1932 Morris Minor Saloon is typical. The Minor is parked outside a local butchers on the periphery of Rainham Mark, a village that sits alongside the Medway Estuary to the north and today, skirts the M2 Motorway on its southern edge.
