For the 1933 season, the Morris Minor Sports Coupe had been more appropriately renamed as the Special Coupe, its original OHC engine having been replaced by the S.V. unit. Photographed here is one of just 181 Special Coupes to leave Cowley in that model year, MU 5743, having been supplied by the Morris Motors main London dealers, Stewart and Ardern. This image first surfaced in 2016 via Ann Hall. The photograph was apparently taken in the early 70s. Unfortunately, the car is not recorded on the DVLA’s current database.
