A group of seven black-and-white photos of a Middlesex-registered 1934 Morris Minor Two-seater (BMD 772) were recently purchased online. Although none are dated or captioned, it’s clear that the images were taken in either the mid-to-late fifties or perhaps the very early sixties. The amateur-produced prints show a young man in a fashionable (for the period) duffle coat with his careworn college hack. (Note the painted hubcaps) The Minor has been fitted with a spotlight and a wing-mounted rear-view mirror, while, unusually, the car’s hood and side screens appear to be in reasonable shape.
