The Pre-war Minor Network’s 2025 Annual Rally is to be hosted by Garry & Marilyn Waiting in the magnificent county of Cumbria. The Lakes & Dales Rally will be based upon the Crooklands Hotel, near Kendal and will be held over the three days Sunday 15th – Tuesday 17th June. The change from our traditional Friday to Sunday format was necessary as hotel availability over our preferred period was severely restricted. The rally dinner will take place on the evening of Monday 16th June at the hotel. Also available are Motorhome and Camping facilities: There are two sites very close to the hotel. Little Acre Holiday Park which is situated across the road from the hotel beside the canal, or Waters Edge Caravan Park which is a very short walk down the road. There are also plenty of B&B properties available to rent in and around Kendal and very close to our base.
The two planned tours will take in some spectacular views across the Lake District National Park and will include visits to Shap Fell, Ullswater, The Eden Valley, Kirkstone Pass, Lake Windermere, Bowness, Kirby Lonsdale, Dent Station (on the Settle-Carlisle line) and Sedbergh.
This is the Network’s 15th rally, although our first in the North of England, and will provide those Minorists who live in the northern counties an opportunity to meet-up with some of their southern counterparts and take part in what promises to be a memorable event.
