Much in common …

Pendine Sands was the venue for the 1926 Land Speed Record-breaking run by ‘Babs’ with Parry-Thomas at the wheel, and it’s here that Alistair Bond and Jeremy Evans posed their cars for this photograph, while an event celebrating the centenary of that successful attempt was taking place just a few yards away. These two vehicles share much in common. The Midget (GH 6758) was completely restored by Garry Waiting in Cumbria, while the Minor Semi-Sports (IA 9142) was also trimmed and finished by him a dozen years ago. Both vehicles were subsequently owned by the editor of this website before being sold to new owners in the Principality, both of whom are VSCC and PWMN members. It really is a small world.
