Martin Gregory has provided a technical article detailing how to convert Minor sidelights from traditional tungsten to LED bulbs while also incorporating a flashing indicator facility. The PDF  can be found in the Member’s Area ‘Technical Bits’ section under ‘Electrical’.

Minor model colours and weights document added…

Thanks to Ken Martin, a new document detailing the individual Morris Minor model colours of both paintwork and upholstery has been added to the site today. In addition, Ken has included the weight of each model in the same table. The document can be found in the Member’s Area, Technical Bits section under ‘Everything Else’.

2023 Events page now live…

The new 2023 Event Galleries page has been launched today. It currently displays over 30 images taken either on New Year’s Day or at the recent VSCC Brooklands New Year driving tests. If during the course of the year, you attend a motoring event at which pre-war Morris Minors, Wolseley Hornets or MG M Type Midgets take part, then please take an image or two to forward to the website (info@prewarminor.com). The photo or photos are likely to appear in a gallery on this page, properly attributed to the photographer.

SU Petrol Pump Servicing Leaflet

A 1935 service information leaflet from SU describing how to service their Pressure Fuel Pump has been added to the Member’s Area, Technical Bits section of the website and can be found under the Carburation and Fuel sub-heading.

1934 Rotax booklet on lighting & starting equipment

A 32 page booklet, one of the ‘Running Instructions‘ series and produced by Rotax, part of the Lucas-CAV-Rotax group in 1934, has been added to the site. It includes descriptions of the lighting and starting equipment covered, along with maintenance instructions and trouble shooting tips. It neatly compliments an earlier (1932) Lucas produced ‘Running Instructions’ booklet covering their ignition related parts, which was added last month. Find the new booklet in the Member’s Area Technical Bits section, under Electrical & Wiring.
