1929 Minor Spare Parts Price List

By News Story

The vast majority of items added to the website are useful to most of us at some time or another. The 1929 Morris Minor Spare Parts Price List (published 1st January 1929) does not currently fall into that category, and as it stands fulfills no function other than satisfying our quest for completeness. The document provides a price per item against a product code as opposed to a literal product description, which effectively means that until we can translate the codes into descriptions it is of little practicle use. So if anyone possesses such a list, please forward a copy which will then be quickly added to the site. Find it in the Member’s Area Technical Bits section under ‘Everything Else’. (Scanned list provided by Toby Sears with thanks)

An alternative cure to the widely adopted ‘lip seal’ technique is detailed in a short Technical Bits article (to be found in the Member’s Area under the ‘Engine‘ sub-menu) in which Ken Martin describes the official Morris Motors cure to the problem.

The S.U. Pressure Pump

By News Story

Although the S.U. Fuel Pump was only ever fitted to the 1934 season Morris Minors, many owners of the later 1932 and 1933 (non-gravity fed) models have replaced the original Petrolift units with an S.U. Pressure Pump. A single page ‘hints and tips’ document issued by S.U. in November 1935 is aimed at helping owners trouble-shoot any difficulties they may encounter with these pumps has now been uploaded to the Member’s Area Technical Bits section under ‘Carburation and Fuel’.
