Almost every edition of the popular motoring magazines of the pre-war period contained illustrations by graphic artists. While many drawings have been lost, some still remain intact in archives, while others were photographed, their images captured on glass plates. The majority of these drawings are unsigned but the names of Ferguson, Millar and Pratt feature on many others. Isn’t it about time that their skills were more widely recognised?
