The Triple M series of MG’s all belong to a family of models that commenced with the 1929 MG Midget and continued through to the mid-thirties via a long string of four and six cylinder OHC engined cars that forged the marques identity.

The MCC’s Sporting Half-Day Trials were a regular autumnal feature on the pre-war trials calendar, all based upon Buxton in Derbyshire between 1930 and 1938. The event invariably attracted a good entry with 84 vehicles taking part on 15th October 1932, among them this MG Magna (MG 1794) driven by F. Sforza, who collected a Silver award in this, his second Half-Day Trial, having competed in a Lea-Francis the previous year.
