The Triple M series of MG’s all belong to a family of models that commenced with the 1929 MG Midget and continued through to the mid-thirties via a long string of four and six cylinder OHC engined cars that forged the marques identity.
Date: 4th July 1936 Venue: Donington Park Occasion: BRDC Nuffield Trophy Meeting. Standing alongside the Bellevue Garage entered MG ‘R’ Type (no.2) are Doreen Evans, Goldie Gardner (right), Kenneth Evans and (presumably), the partly obscured Denis Evans. Just 19 days later Doreen was married to American Allan Phipps.
