Triple M Corner no.403

By November 2, 2025Triple M corner

The Triple M series of MG’s all belong to a family of models that commenced with the 1929 MG Midget and continued through to the mid-thirties via a long string of four and six cylinder OHC engined cars that forged the marques identity.

There were just ten classified finishers in the 1932 RAC Ulster TT held at the Ards circuit in Northern Ireland, with 21 cars failing to finish the race. Among that number were 6 of the 8 M.G. Midgets that took part. Photographed crossing Conway Square, Newtownards, is J.G.C. Low’s MG ‘C’ Type, the last of the finishers, while Eddie Hall’s similar car finished 3rd overall and 1st in its class. (This is an edited extract from LAT Collection plate ref: B8927)
