The Triple M series of MG’s all belong to a family of models that commenced with the 1929 MG Midget and continued through to the mid-thirties via a long string of four and six cylinder OHC engined cars that forged the marques identity.
The Cream Cracker team for the 1935/1936 season was made up of three blown MG PB Type Midgets (JB 7521, JB 7524 and JB 7525), usually driven by Maurice Toulmin, Ken Crawford and J.E.S. Jones respectively. In June 1936, the team competed in the Scottish Sporting Car Club’s Team Trial (although minus Jones and with L.A. Welch in as a replacement), winning an SSCC award for coming second overall to the home club’s mixed team of a Riley 9 and two Singers.
