The New Year Driving Tests at Brooklands is the traditional season ‘opener’ for the Vintage Sports Car Club. With the circuit’s old start and finish straight subject to development the tests were somewhat condensed this year although this did not affect the enthusiasm of those taking part. Clive Hamilton-Gould’s 1930 Tourer was the solitary Minor representative although two M Type Midgets and a Hornet Special kept him company.
