The Triple M series of MG’s all belong to a family of models that commenced with the 1929 MG Midget and continued through to the mid-thirties via a long string of four and six cylinder OHC engined cars that forged the marques identity.
R.A. MacDermid was a renown driver of MG competition cars from 1933 onwards. Here he is seen in one of the Magnette Musketeer team cars, ‘Athos’ (JB 6865) taking part in the SUNBAC Inter Team Trial in April 1936, where the MGCC ‘B’ team (of which he was a part) finished well down the rankings, while the club’s ‘A’ team of PB’s won the event outright.
